About Us

ABC Printing was founded in 1961 by German immigrant Jakob Peters. Professionally and technically trained in Germany, he brought his expertise and artistry to the Kitchener-Waterloo area in 1952 and worked in various printing shops in the area teaching the finer points of commercial printing.

In 1961, with a single Heidelberg Platen Press, a garage on Sydney Street, his brother in-law, and a strong faith in God, ABC Printing was born. In 1967, ABC Printing outgrew the small garage and purchased the building that used to house the old Kitchener News at 490 Mill Street where ABC Printing still resides today.

In 1989, Jacob Peters passed away suddenly and the leadership of the business was passed to Jacob's youngest son, Roland Peters.

Still acting as company president, Roland has overseen many years of growth through constant improvements in technology to meet demands for high volume printing and small volume printing. With 98% of jobs being completed in house, ABC Printing offers the full range of print products and design solutions for commercial and personal needs.

ABC Printing currently has 9 employees, with a majority of them having 25 years experience with ABC. With this wealth of experience, you also get the family touch with a total of 3 "Peters" family members currently working for ABC Printing.

Our belief - with the future unknown, you can always depend on family!
